ANZ Stadium to host Ben Hur
Sydney will be the first stopover of the October/ November 2010 world tour of ‘BEN HUR: Bigger than the Legend’, the spectacular stadium-sized extravaganza adapted from Lewis Wallace’s legendary best seller. The production is a result of a five year agreement between the show producer StadeFrance Live Events and ANZ Stadium to secure the world's best Stadium scaled and themed entertainment for Australian audiences. The monumental $10 million show features full-scale chariot races with 32 horses, a cast of 217 and over 200 crew making it the biggest live show to ever tour the world. As the legend suggests, ‘BEN HUR’ is bigger than any show Australian audiences have ever seen. Only the 2000 Olympics opening ceremony comes near ‘BEN HUR’ for sheer scale, grandeur and the ‘wow’ factor. The show made its debut at Stade de France in Paris in 2006, playing to more than 300,000 patrons over five nights. ANZ Stadium will have a capacity of 70,000 for the production. Australian audiences can register their interest at the official tour website – www.benhur.com.au. Pictured is a shot from a promotion in Paris for the production.

Bulldogs Sponsor Re-signs
The Bulldogs season may have come to an end a week too early, but Jaycar Electronics have extended their premium jersey sponsorship with the Bulldogs, locking in for a three-year multimillion dollar deal.
“Our involvement with the Bulldogs has gone above and beyond anything we could have imagined,” Mr Johnston said.
"So far they have over delivered on all our expectations. They had a pre-finals accumulated television audience of 16.4million (NRL average: 13.3million, AFL average 14.9million), they are the most visited website in the NRL and they have the highest home crowd average of any Sydney based club. "We 're a business looking to broaden our brand awareness and these figures clearly show that the Bulldogs provide an ideal platform for us to do this. Bulldogs Chief Executive Mr Todd Greenberg says the deal is an acknowledgement of the value offered by Rugby League and the Bulldogs in particular.
“This deal is an important step towards securing the future of the Bulldogs and it's a great vote of confidence in the direction we're headed," Mr Greenberg said. "That an organisation is prepared to commit to a long term deal in the current climate is no small achievement and we look forward to continuing a successful partnership with Jaycar."
