Words do little to justify Kurt Fearnley’s achievements. From gold medal success at the Paralympic Games to crawling his way along the Kokoda Trail, Kurt continues to defy the odds and is an inspiration to us all. A proud Panthers fan with a soft spot for the Knights and Wests Tigers, Kurt has followed Rugby League as far back as he can remember – in no small part due to the influence of his uncle, Terry Fearnley, who coached the Eels, Blues and Kangaroos in the 80s. However it was when his cousin Royce Simmons scored two tries as Captain of the Panthers in the 1991 Grand Final that Kurt’s destiny as a Panthers fan was sealed. His favourite Panthers player is Petero Civoniceva.
